Hectic Day

Today started very wiered, yesterday we went home around midnight, after long day at work, we had kind of emergency.

I went home very tired, telling myself that I won't get up today till 11:00 since yesterdat I had like 7hrs. extra at work.

So I started online till maybe 06am and decided then that I am tired and will go to bed very tired so I won't be thinking about anything to keep me up.

Around 06:30 my mobile started to rung, and it turns out that this was my boss, I answered her saying what, I need to sleep.

"I am sorry Leo, I need you didn't have much time at home, but there is an emergency at X location and I can't show up and I need you at the office" She said

I got up and went to the office ASAP (as fast as possible)

My boss went for a whole day meeting today, so instead of being free to escape work or at least to west some time and stuff, I was caught up from 8am till 20:00, literally.

Our MIS Department (or IT Department) has discovered some kind of hack to our system and ever since I was the only staff with a managerial level and my floor was clear of all heads who all went for the meeting, so pratctically that was the problem that I had to deal with.

So I had to leave my office all day and camping at the MIS offices, when I got back to our section I found the following:

Flo was busy with her work and occasional chatting and surfing the net for blogs to read. Byr was busy chatting and surfing the net (for whatever site he could put his hands on).

Meanwhile, my staffs were all busy watching the NBC series HEROES (Season 1 & 2) in the office, which somebody (Joe) shared on the Company network. Since I have already finished watching both seasons of Heroes months ago, I didn't bother to watch again, and that gave me the edge to scream and shout to the staff to get back to work.

After like 3 hours, I started to feel like joy buster at the office, my staff and every member of other departments, started looking at me as a teacher who's trying to controll his students at the office and Rita my PA started to help but believe me it needed more than that.

However, finally I decided to creat a big problem and pay every one's attention.

So I sent a virus to every computer on the network, without knowing its me.

That vairouse paid the attention of MIS and started dealing with it, which made the MIS to instruct all employees to get back to their computers and follow the steps to clean thier PC's.

When that problem solved (after maybe 1hour) i told everyone to stay on their desks, asking them to report to me every 60 minutes about what they are doing.

Most of the staff didnt like that (including my department) but eventully that worked all day as they had to and we end up on good results.

Believe me this consumed my mental power and made me feel like loosing 10 pounds in few hours.
